We are a Btec Extended Diploma Level 3 course that specialises in Computer Game Design. We deliver our course through the Art and Design Department at Priestley Sixth Form College in Warrington Cheshire.

The course is a two-year program that is the equivalent to 3 A Levels. On completing the course we aim to prepare you for University and Apprenticeships developing your skills and understanding and creating a comprehensive digital portfolio of work.

The course focus is on the artwork and the design aspect of Game Design, where students will learn the fundamentals of the design process alongside creating assets, characters, environments and vehicles for the Game Industry. Students will create a game in their first year as part of a team and focus more on their specialist areas in the second year with a self-written Final Major Project. Through out the two years students will learn to use Industry standard software such as the Adobe Suite, 3DS Max and Unity Game Engine. Skills learnt throughout will range from basic drawing and illustration techniques through to Coding and game development.
